St. Lawrence Contributes To Ladder Truck Purchase
St. Lawrence University has committed $100,000 to the Canton Fire Corporation, which will be used to assist the fire department in replacement of its ladder truck. The truck was purchased earlier this year for $685,000; the University recently issued the first of seven scheduled payments.

English Honorary Inducts Four Students
Four students were inducted into the Irving Bacheller Society, the University's Sigma Tau Delta chapter of the International English Honor Society, in October of 2008. The honorary takes its name from a member of the St. Lawrence University Class of 1882, the popular journalist and author of Eben Holden, the first "best-seller" of the 20th century.
